Honor Guard

The Wildland Firefighter Foundation is very fortunate to have USFS Honor Guard, BLM Honor Guard, NPS Honor Guard, and Cal Fire (CDF) Honor Guard attend our Family Fire events. With their uniforms, bagpipes, and presentation of colors, they bring a formal, dignified recognition for families who have lost a loved one.

At Family Fire 2007, Honor Guard from the BLM, the Forest Service,
and Cal Fire (CDF) participated with our families.

In May at Family Fire 2007 we welcomed CDF (Cal Fire) Honor Guard.

Memorial Weekend in Emmitsburg

In October 2005, with the help of David and Judy Rama (their son Daniel Rama died in a van accident while working on the Hayman Fire in 2002), sent seven members (pictured below) of Daniel's crew to Emmitsburg, MD to participate in the National Fallen Firefighter Foundation's annual memorial weekend.

The National Park Service and Bureau of Land Management also have Honor Guard groups. Visit this link for some amazing Honor Guard information.
